KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN (TraNews) – With the assistance from the Kaohsiung City Government, “Megacities: Kaohsiung” filmed by the National Geographic Channel is scheduled to premiere at 7 PM on September 25th at Aozidi Forest Park in Kaohsiung. In the meanwhile, there are 5,000 complimentary green mats will be given away to the audiences at the scene.

The “Megacities” series aims to introduce the world’s megacities through objective and academic perspective. Each city in nowadays is in the fight against the energy crisis. Each and every city has developed different strategies in response to these issues. New York, London, Paris, Las Vegas, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Mumbai, Taipei, Seoul and other major cities around the world have appeared in the series as well.

The program aims to promote the city’s best features to the world, including a decade of transformation from a grimy industrial city into a green and cultural metropolis, solar-powered stadium, biogas electricity generation plant, LED streetlamps and traffic lights, cycling spots around the city and massive rapid transportation. It is worth mentioning the documentary is expected to be broadcasted globally at the end of 2010.

的確啊!不過高雄市也要有嶄新傲人的硬體軟體建設,才能承受得起專業報導節目的需求喔!
